So You Say He's A Cheater?

Have you ever had a friend who constantly complained about how their boyfriend/husband constantly cheated on them? Maybe you had to sit through endless stories about their ongoing affairs or listen to them simply whine.

So why do these women stay?

I've seen it numerous times....hell I've even done it!

You always have that one woman who constantly gripes but never takes action...

So here are some of the most common reasons why women stay:

1. They have children with this man. This ones pretty obvious...you simply have a woman who refuses to get a divorce for the sake of her children. Now personally if this is you don't stay! Why subject yourself to an unhappy or in some cases a sexless marriage. Point blank: You deserve happiness. So why settle for anything less?

2. They Can't Make It on Their Own. Now when I say this I mean that the woman simply can't survive on her own. Often times the woman has no college degree(or high school diploma) for that matter. Therefore, they are willing to subject themselves to the constant cheating. If this is you I want you to know that you CAN MAKE IT ON YOUR OWN!

3. They Don't Value Themselves. This is simply what it sounds like. They will take any attention they can get. They often times have very low self esteem and feel they can't do better. Well guess what? You can do better! Don't settle for a cheater!

In closing, instead of constantly whining or rehashing numerous affairs, leave him! Simple as that. The hard truth is that if someone cheats once on you they are going to do it again! Especially if this type of behavior has gone on for years. So have some respect for yourself and find a good man!

Thought of the Day: Appreciate Your Loved Ones

We have all heard it before, and that is to simply appreciate your loved ones while you can. This is such a simple yet complex thought. After all, we  just assume that everyone does this. However, I can tell you that this is not always the case.

About two months ago I had my second son, Roman Luke Hopper, and for many nights I had absolutely no sleep. So I remember late one night surfing through the cable channels when I came across a series I had never seen before. That series was none other than Six Feet Under.

Now I know some of you are wondering what this has to do with anything...and you might be surprised to know it actually put a lot of things in perspective for me.

I am going to start by saying, If you have family or friends that you have gotten into fights or arguments with, please seize this moment to make it right with them. Now I am by no means saying go back into a toxic situation!

I am simply saying if you had a silly argument or have been holding a grudge over something trivial...please fix it.

Now if you are in my situation, where the people are just toxic and abusive, by no means should you try and fix it. It's better to not fix some situations!

But for those of you who can fix your situations... please do!

I ended up watching all the seasons of Six Feet Under and realized how important my own family is! I realized that eventually we are all going to die and it's the moments that we share with important people in our lives that matters the most.

I guess we all get caught up in everyday things and forget that everything can change in an instant. So tell your husband or wife how much you love them...hug your children like it will be the last time you see them...and live each day like its your last!

Life is a gift and it shouldn't be taken for granted....

I think what I loved about Six Feet Under was that it showed a family that had numerous fights and disagreements yet they somehow managed to stay together and be there for each other. It also showed me just how short life really is!

So for those of you who don't know about this show I am going to attach the series finale of the show.
It was such a sad ending yet it showed how each character coped with the deaths of each of their loved ones and how life went on! So check it out!

Inspirational Quote of the Day

"We can't help everyone, but everyone can help someone."
                                    -Ronald Reagan

I wanted to make this post about something very simple and relatable. Something that we all could use from time to time...and that is a little inspiration!

Inspiration to do something good with the life we are given. I really do believe we all get a little too caught up in ourselves and our wants. We often times fail to see what life is really all about. Quite simply life is all about helping our fellow humans.

We all underestimate what a simple helping hand can do for someone. As people we all need a little bit of help every now and the even if we'd not like to admit it.

Which brings me to the inspirational quote I'd like to share with all of you...

"We can not help everyone, but everyone can help someone."

This quote is very simple and good reminder for us all. While we may not be able to help everyone that is in need, each one of us can make a difference for someone if we just extend a helping hand.

So the next time you drive by and see someone in need don' t hesitate to help...every good deed does not go unseen!

You never know how much of a difference you can make in a someone's life!

I have attached a video that you might find inspiring!

Three Surprising Benefits of Exercise

I'm sure most of you know that exercising is beneficial to your health....besides the obvious, such as an aide in weight loss exercise can do so much more for your body.

Since the birth of my son Roman, exactly a month ago, I have picked up my work out routine yet once again. This time however, I am getting much quicker results due to much trial and error! But I have also noticed a couple of other perks!

So here are some surprising benefits from a cardio or max interval training session!

1. An instant improvement in mood!

Would you believe that a single workout actually increases your mood? Stressed out, feeling a little down, or just feeling blah? Physical activity actually stimulates certain brain chemicals that leave you feeling well "Happy." Not to mention that extra boost of confidence you get after a draining workout!

2. An instant boost in energy!

Feeling tired from raising kids or simply everyday activities? Well, get this if you want a quick pick me up...Workout! When you exercise it delivers oxygen and nutrients to your tissues and helps your cardiovascular system work more efficiently! When your heart and lungs work better you have more energy to go about your day! So don't hesitate to do at least 30 minutes of cardio a day!

3. Exercise helps fight disease and health conditions!

Believe it or not exercise actually can help keep you healthy and disease free! Exercise actually boosts high-density lipoprotein (HDL). This is simply good cholesterol. This aides in decreaseing unhealthy triglycerides. This helps keep your blood flowing smoothly  which can decrease cardiovascular disease! Exercise can also help prevent strokes, depression, and type 2 Diabetes!

So in order to keep yourself healthy and happy don't hesitate to do some physical activity everyday! You will feel so much better and your body will thank you for it!

Something to Think About....

“There is no royal road to anything. One thing at a time, all things in succession. That which grows fast, withers as rapidly. That which grows slowly, endures.”

– Josiah Gilbert Holland
This quote speaks volumes to me simply because it has been such a big part of my life.

I wanted to write this article for those of you who may be struggling with  making one of your dreams come true or even just meeting a goal you had set for yourself.

First I just want to say to you, "Never give up on any dream that you have."

Life has a way of just happening but just because it happens doesn't mean you can't pursue what you love.

As I have found in the past three years if you want something bad enough you have to work for it. And not just for a short time, it has to be given a continuous effort.

It's like a plant if you want it to grow you have to continue to water it.

And yes, you will run into people who will continue to say that you can't do this or you can't do that...Pay no attention to people like this...they will only hinder your growth and success.

So for some inspiration I have attached a video that will help encourage you to grow and pursue your dreams.

Remember the only thing stopping you is YOU!

What is Christmas Really About?

Well as many of you know already, Christmas is right around the corner and everyone is consumed with the newest gizmos and gadgets....

Instead of having a Black Friday we have a Black Thursday, and in some cases even Black Wednesday...Hell, most stores were already airing Christmas shopping commercials back in October.

So what has Christmas become???

It seems to me that Christmas is no longer about spending time with your family or even the celebration of Christ's birthday, but rather more a holiday for consumerism!

People are simply more concerned with things! I'm not going to lie, I love to shop as much as the next girl! Maybe even a little too much at times! However, I find it troublesome that people are going as far as even going to shop for Christmas gifts the day of Thanksgiving! What's even worse is that many of the big retail giants are promoting these "Black Thursday" sales shamelessly!

Lest we not forget about the numerous employees who work at these retail stores! These people are losing precious time with their families just so the  public can get their so called "Christmas" fix!

It's a sad day and age when materials become more important than people! After all you can't take any of it with you when you die...

Some food for thought folks....these are worldly possessions and when our lives are over the only thing we can take with us are the good deeds we did in life or the lack of!

So please value your family...spend as much time as you can with them and cherish them!

One of the best quotes that illustrates the idea that Christmas is about more than the materials we receive, is none other than the following:

“And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow,
stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.”

A Child is a Gift...Down Syndrome or not!

Down Syndrome...We all know this term all too well. We have all at one point seen countless children and adults who have this condition.

I'm sure many of you have even seen these people being treated like they are less than human. Seen people laugh, point, or mock them in public.

But perhaps the most disturbing thing I've been hearing about lately, is the option for a couple to terminate a pregnancy if the child is found to have this condition. Not only do I find this deeply disturbing but it is basically telling people that if your child has Down Syndrome it is acceptable to terminate them because they are considered "less than desirable."

Now some of you might say, "Why do you care?"

And my answer would be: "I am a mother and I couldn't fathom terminating my child no matter the condition."

I am currently five months pregnant and my husband and I are anxiously anticipating our ultrasound this week. After all, we will finally get to know the sex of our child!

We had been wanting another child for a while now...so when our prayers were answered you could imagine how excited we were! Not only for ourselves but for our oldest son Hunter! He was going to be a big brother!

And then it happened....the doctors started asking if I wanted to do any screenings for any
 conditions the baby might have.

I started to think about my unborn child and the possibility that he/she could have Down Syndrome. Would I keep this child? If so, would I treat this child any differently???

My answer to these questions was simple...I knew what I would do...and that was nothing short of what any mother would do. I would carry this child to full term and give he/she a chance to live a good productive life. I wouldn't treat this child any different than my oldest and I wouldn't treat this child like it wasn't human.

As a mother I don't know how any woman could willing kill her own unborn child. I say "Kill" because that is what you are doing. You  are saying your child is expendable and not worthy of life because it has what society deems as unworthy qualities.

The truth is a child is a gift...every child should be given a right to life. Every child is precious and if you can't see it that way, then you shouldn't be allowed to reproduce.

So if any of you expectant mothers find that you are having a child with Down Syndrome, please don't terminate that child. Choose to give that child a chance at life. Choose to let them grow and experience the simple wonders and joys of life. Let them become someone and most importantly let them make an impact on this world!

Love doesn't count chromosomes!
